MATERIALS / DIRECTIONS:
You need :
Laminating paper. (The most expensive item but it really makes the pin
and you get a lot of pins from one sheet. Office Max. JM brand, 50
sheets in a pac. Laminating sheets, clear, Heavyweight. Walmart carreis it too. Cheaper but not as nice.)
Vinyl placemats (Kmart has some summer ones that are tan and white plaid they work as well too...99 cents)
Pins for the back (I got mine at Michaels, they are in the value
pack, #2.99 but they have 40% off coupons in the paper so they are
only $1.80. 40 in a bag. Wal-Mrt Also Carries these
Graphics (for some great graphic locations, check out the links section here on the website!
Open whatever image program you like to work with images. Insert the image into your program.
Most people use something like print master, paint shop pro, etc. but even word will work.
Resize the image to what you need, and then arrange them so you can print as many as you can to a page.
Next, you cut the design close to the edge, and then put it on the place mat.
Cut the piece of laminating paper larger all the way around as
this is what will stick to the mat. Then just carefully trim around,
hot glue the pin on. And you are done.
** Another way of doing the heads is to use sticky fun foam in place of the placemat. If you o this, you cut the graphic out,
place them on the sticky foam sheet, laminate the entire front of the foam sheet, and then cut out into individual pins.
Yo Yo Angel Pins

Materials Needed :
• Don't get any more material than an 1/8th
or quarter of a yard of each fabric that you want to use.
They will make lots.
Directions:
Use a juice glass with the top diameter of 3".
The wings are the same size as the yo yo... just
run a stitch from the top of the yo yo down to the hole in
the yo yo and pull in down and tie it off. It makes it like
a heart.
Piece of cake (even for those who are not a seamstress).
Finished Yo Yo should be about 1 3/4". (Hint, it's easier
if you don't fold it under as gathered. It is a tad harder
to make the way they show in the link at the bottom of the
page.)
The face is a 1/2" furniture plug. Put the plug
in a vise (a small rubber padded one works best) and cut
the back off so all you have is the round front. The whole
plug on top looks too thick.
The "hair" is just clear glass beads (like you
make safety pin pins or indian jewelry out of). Just use
tacky glue for the hair. Hot glue to attach the wings and
dress and attach the pin.
The halo is made from gold wire on a spool (Darice
makes it) wrapped around a sharpie felt pen. Perfect size.
Gently pull the wings back a tad and slip the halo in after
dabbing some tacky glue on first. (Do the halo last)
You make 2 separate yo yo's. Then you lay the
one you are using for wings on the table(hole up). Take the
2nd yo yo (dress) and hot glue it on top of the wings(hole
side up). Look at a pic for placement.

Flower Pins
The flower pins are made very similar to the
yo yo pins. The leaves are called prairie petals.
Use the same size circle you used for the flowers
. To make one prairie petal, fold the fabric circle in half.
Turn down each corner so the folded edge meets
in the middle.(it ends up looking like a triangle)
Make 1/4" long running stitches along the raw
edge. Pull thread to gather. Tie off. Add embellishments
Laminated head Yo Yo Pins

Laminated yo yo pins are a combination of the above.... please refer to those directions.
