(Special thanks to Tami Matta For The Idea)
Materials Needed:
- Glass jar such as a canning jar, salsa jar, sauce jar,
etc.
- Krylon Glass Interior Frosting Spray
- Print and Stick Project paper
- Scissors
- Krylon Fixative Spray
- Ribbon
Directions:
Step 1. Wash your jar really well and dry it. Apply the
Frosting spray and allow to dry 1 hour.
Step 2. As it is drying open your graphics program and choose
images you want to place on the jar.
Step 3. Once you have done this, size them to the proper
size, and print on the "print and stick" project paper. Cut
out. (** Note: Any type of sticker backed printable paper
would work for this, Or use a Xyron to give your paper an
adhesive backside, or even decoupage the graphic onto the
jar.)
Step 4. When the jar is dry, remove the backing from your
printed graphics, and adhere the sticky part to the glass.
Secure tightly by pressing several times.
Step 5. Then apply the krylon fixative spray over the graphic
on the jar to protect it.
Step 6. Apply ribbon around the top and you are done.
These jars can be filled with springtime decorations such
as the plastic eggs, candy, treats, marbles or even a candle.
You can go one step further and make them into lamps using
a string of Christmas type lights or a nightlight sized bulb
as well.
