During the holidays, we always seem to make more crafts.. here are some fun food crafts to do with your family and friends!
Hershey'sŪ Holiday Kisseltoe Ball
Made by Donna
Materials/Directions:
- 4, 6 or 8-inch Styrofoam ball
- Aluminum foil (optional)
- 3 to 6 bags (13-oz. each) HERSHEY'S KISSES, wrapped
in green, red and silver foil
(Ball size will determine how many bags are needed)
- Corsage Pins with white head (2-5 boxes)
- 4 yards (1 inch wide) holiday ribbon
- Wire Clothes hanger or heavy duty string/ribbon

- Straighten the wire hanger; insert one end through the
center of the foam ball. Clear 6 inches of wire through
opposite end; bend a hook at least 1 inch in length. Pull
wire back up through hole, securing hooked end into bottom
of foam ball. Determine desired length of top wire. Bend
loop at end to form hanger. (Tip: Hang on ladder or clothes
rod to decorate.)
**In place of this, I used a heavy duty red string that
I had and started at the bottom of the ball and pushed
it up into it till it came out directly across. I tied
knots in the bottom and also applied a washer to it. doing
the same on the top. leaving enough string to hang it up.**
- Cover ball with aluminum foil, if desired.(**On this
one that I made, I didn't do this, but would the next time**)
Cover ball by adding green foil-wrapped KissesŪ with
the flat end to the surface of the ball ...adhere with
the pins. Decorate with remaining silver and red KissesŪ by
inserting end of pin into the side of KISS; insert other
end into ball, filling in any gaps. Alternate colors and
angles.
**You can play with this all you want. I did one that had
a triangle pattern, Multi coloreds everyplace, etc. the
combinations are endless. you can make a star on it, a
stocking, etc.)
- Finish by attaching a large bow on top and loops of
ribbon on the bottom
***One last note, this is VERY heavy. I used the 4 inch
ball and only 2 bags of kisses and by the time you are
done, it weighs a lot and takes a strong string or wire
to be able to hold it up***)

These cones were made by my children during
the Holidays of 01'.
Alex did the ones on the left and Megan did the ones on the
right.
Materials Needed:
- Sugar Ice Cream Cones
- Container of White Or Green Frosting
- Misc. Candies, like M&M's, skittles, fruit candies,
gum drops, licorice, etc.
- Knife for spreading frosting
- Wax paper
Directions:
Turn the sugar cone upside down and frost with the color
frosting of your choice. When the frosting is still creamy,
decorate with your candies.
Allow trees to dry on wax paper for several hours and you
have a wonderful holiday decoration that is fun and easy
to make with your kids!
